:VISHWA Infrastructures and Services Private Limited:

CMD Profile

Mr. Yerra Srinivas, a qualified Civil Engineer and a member of the Indian Institute of Engineers, is the founding promoter of Vishwa Infrastructures & Services Pvt. Ltd. - a fully integrated urban infrastructure company, specializing in water and sewage projects. Hailing from an agricultural family, Mr. Srinivas is a first generation entrepreneur. He walked out of his college precincts with a grand vision –to be a part of 'Nation Building' and 'Live for Others'.

His sojourn began in 1992, with the formation of Vishwa Construction Company, a partnership entity with a meager investment of 5000/- with help from his friends. Ideas were abound, finance was not. Those were the days when banks would consider you only if you carried cent percent collaterals. Mr. Srinivas, without any financial background, could instill confidence in his friends, relatives and other associates to lend their resources - a no mean task.

Inspired by the growth, challenges and opportunities of emerging India, he reorganized his entity into a private limited company. To have a cutting edge in pricing and to be self-reliant, he ventured into manufacturing of pipes - MS, PSC, RCC, GRP, which are the core ingredients in execution. He diluted his stake by attracting private equity from a subsidiary of a leading private sector bank, thereby moving into a higher league.

Today, Vishwa is arespectedbrand in water and sewage sector, capable of executing water projects from conception to commissioning and beyond, including operation & maintenance. The 5000/- partnership firm has evolved into a 4000/- million private limited company and racing towards becoming one of the top ten companies in India in water& sewage segment by the year 2020.

Mr. Srinivas firmly believes that private participation in infrastructure development is indeed a feasible proposition and can develop infrastructure faster than relying on public resources only. According to the estimates of the 12th plan, an unprecedented US$ 1000 billion is required forthe infrastructure sector, which includes roads, highways, air &water transport, irrigation, electric power, telecommunications, water supply & sewerage system. This is a great opportunity for infrastructure companies to participate in nation building.

Under his leadership, Vishwa has bagged a prestigious BOT project under Public Private Partnership (PPP)with an outlay of 1150/- million, for water supply to Khandwa town for its construction, operation and maintenance for 25 years - a first of its kind in India. This is a modest beginning for Vishwa under PPP, but gives an early bird advantage to the company as India is gearing towards more such projects in near future. Vishwa has been growing consistently and the CAGR for last 4 years is in excess of 50%. His vision has lead Vishwa from a company with a capital of under $ 1000 to a brand with a profitability of $ 5.5 million.
